Live After Five fall season continues with Flow Tribe
Live After Five in Downtown Baton Rouge is the capital city's premier FREE live music event, hosted by the Downtown Business Association. The fall season of Live After Five continues this Friday with Flow Tribe. Boiled in the musical melting pot of New Orleans, simmered in Louisiana soul, Flow Tribe transcends the traditional barriers of the music establishment with their unique style and sound. With the delicacy of a sledgehammer, Flow Tribe fuses psychedelic/blues and funk/rock to captivate any crowd.

Sunday in the Park
The 2011 FREE Fall Concert continues on Sunday and extends through November 6th from noon until 3PM in historic Lafayette Park across from the Shaw Center for the Arts. Come and enjoy amazing live music, wonderful food, face painting and balloon creations. Sunday in the Park is a fall and spring series of free outdoor concerts for the arts in collaboration with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and 225 Magazine.

United Way Jambalaya Jam
Capital Area United Way is throwing a street party you don't want to miss! The 24th Annual Jambalaya Jam, sponsored by DOW, is coming back to downtown Baton Rouge in 2011. Zombie Bash 5K Run / Walk
Kick off Halloween with Of Moving Colors at the 2nd annual Zombie Bash 5k run/walk. All ages are welcome and costumes are encouraged! The race starts at the 13th Gate and proceeds down River Road (out & back), then ends back where it started for food, music, a costume contest, awards, and Thriller! To join the OMC dancers in a mass street dance of Michael Jackson's Thriller, check www.ofmovingcolors.org for a schedule of free Thriller classes in the weeks leading up to the Zombie Bash. Louisiana State Museum Fall Lecture Series
Lunchtime Lagniappe, a weekly series of lively presentations on local history, is returning to the Capitol Park Museum. The free, hour long program is designed for downtown workers and is held at noon each Wednesday in October. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch and may come and go as their schedules require. The Louisiana State Museum friends make refreshments available for a small donation.

Enjoy a hot breakfast inside Main Street Market and stick around for the Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration featuring chef Don Whitmore of Maxwell's Market. The cooking demonstration begins at 10 AM inside the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. Shoppers can also enjoy live music throughout the morning by the Fabulous Bagasse Boyz.
