Downtown has a plethora of options for all ages this weekend. With more great weather on the horizon, what better way to spend your weekend than at one of downtown's outdoor concerts, stroll the streets at the market or eat at anyone of our great restaurants. Whatever your interest, downtown has got something for YOU!

Live After Five with Flow Tribe
Live After Five in Downtown Baton Rouge is the capital city's premier FREE live music event, hosted by the Downtown Business Association at AZ Young Park. The fall season of Live After Five continues this Friday with Flow Tribe. Boiled in the musical melting pot of New Orleans, simmered in Louisiana soul, Flow Tribe transcends the traditional barriers of the music establishment with their unique style and sound. With the delicacy of a sledgehammer, Flow Tribe fuses psychedelic/blues and funk/rock to captivate any crowd.



Touchdown Express
The Touchdown Express will begin shuttling patrons to LSU at 10:30AM. Downtown patrons can bring a receipt from any restaurant / bar to the CATS shuttle, located at Convention & Lafayette ( Hotel Indigo & the Hilton ), and it will act as a free round trip pass to the LSU football game. Downtown provides free on-street parking on nights and weekends while the State Parking Garage, located at 201 Third St., charges only $3 and is less than a minute from the Touchdown Express loading point. Single game passes are available at Hotel Indigo and the Hilton. Single game prices are one way $1.75, round rrip $3.50.



Pastime LSU Shuttle
Pastime Restaurant offers their shuttle service for LSU homes games for $12. The first shuttle begins 3 hours before the kickoff and drops passengers off at the corner of Nicholson & Skip Bertman Drive. The pick-up after the game will be at Mike's Cage with the last bus heading back to Pastime no later than 30 minutes after the final gun.



Bike to the game from Downtown
The weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend and what better way to get to the game than ride your bike. A 2.5 mile stretch of the levee bike path extends from downtown to Tiger Stadium. Riders can access the path at Florida St @ River Road or South Boulevard @ River Road. There is available parking on the street or under the I - 10 interstate bridge. The 15 foot wide path includes separate lanes for bicycles and walkers/joggers as well as lighting, seating and water fountains.



Trolley Rouge
Trolley Rouge is a seasonal route that highlights cultural, dining and shopping venues in Baton Rouge.
Trolley Rouge runs through November 26, 2011, and is a great way for visitors as well as locals to benefit from the panache of Baton Rouge. In addition to the downtown area, Trolley Rouge offers patrons the chance to enjoy the shopping and food experience at Towne Center and Perkins Rowe. The route will run on Saturday from 10:00AM until Midnight and Sunday from 12:00PM until 4PM. It will pass through downtown, Hollywood Casino and the State Capital area before stopping at hotels on Constitution and Corporate. It will also stop at Towne Center and Perkins Rowe before passing though the Garden

Perkins Rowe before passing though the Garden District and returning downtown. Passes can be purchased at the Hilton Hotel Capital Center, Hotel Indigo, the Crowne Plaza, other area hotels and at CATS headquarters. The cost for route is $4.00, which is the cost of a regular day pass.

Sunday in the Park
The 2011 FREE Fall Concert continues on Sunday and extends through November 6th from noon until 3PM in historic Lafayette Park across from the Shaw Center for the Arts. Come and enjoy amazing live music, wonderful food, face painting and balloon creations. Sunday in the Park is a fall and spring series of free outdoor concerts for the arts in collaboration with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and 225 Magazine.
