Dragon Cafe Now Open
The new Chinese restaurant, Dragon Cafe, is now open at 431 Third Street next to The Office, offering another great dining option for downtown patrons. The owner, Tony Hu, completed renovations including beautiful new bamboo flooring and other decorative treatments. The Downtown Development District welcomes Dragon Cafe, which is now the 61st restaurant within downtown.



Third Street Film Festival
Beginning the night before new year's eve, the Third Street Film Festival will be a spectacular two-night event at the Shaw Center. The festival will showcase the work of select talented independent filmmakers whose work has been produced and filmed in Louisiana. Expect an entertaining night of quality films, delectable local cuisine, and featured musical guests performances.

Eric J. Brown: Text & Context
An exhibition of the works of artist Eric J. Brown titled "Text & Context" is on display at the Shaw Center for the Arts and runs through January 23. Through brilliant abstract paintings, scrolls in vessels and two-dimensional sculptures, Brown explores a language by which all in existence relate.
