Several Downtown Road Closures on Monday due to Inaugural Events

BATON ROUGE - Several roads will be closed Monday in downtown Baton Rouge due to the Inaugural Events at the Old State Capitol. Closures will begin at 6:00a.m. and extend into the afternoon.

The Louisiana State Police working in partnership with the Baton Rouge City Police Department will be closing several roads in the downtown area to ensure a safe environment for the Inaugural Events at the Old State Capitol. These closures are necessary to ensure the safety and security of the elected officials and citizens in attendance. Drivers in the downtown area Monday should be mindful of an increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Patience and cooperation is appreciated as public safety is our number one priority.

Road Closures include:
North Blvd from River Rd. to St. Louis St.
South River Rd. from France St. to Florida Blvd.
Lafayette St. from North Blvd to Convention St.
3rd St. from North Blvd. to Convention St.
Government St. from River Rd. to St. Phillip St.
