Krewe of Jupiter & Juno
Jupiter rolls to the streets on Saturday night at 6PM Parade begins at the corner of Government Street and St. Philip Street, and ending at the corner of Convention Street & S. River Road. Jupiter's 2012 Theme is "Take a Walk on the Wild Side." There will be a Jupiter's Jam at Hotel Indigo following the parade.

Hot 8 Brass Band at Manship Theatre & Lunch Time Performance in Town Square
This world-traveled and critically acclaimed band playing their infectious funk. Hot 8 is known for the Second Line sounds they learned from New Orleans. HBO's Treme is featuring their post-Katrina story.
The Hot 8 Brass Band will be doing a special lunch time performance at noon on Thursday in the Town Square! Come out and enjoy lunch on the lawn and then hop in the Second Line!

Thursday Night Jazz at Zolia
The Ben Harrington Duo featuring Piano, Sax and Vocals will be playing Jazz Standards with a lil' Louisiana flair from Sinatra to the Beatles. Come experience Zolia's Wine Bar with specialty cocktails and Italian Style Tapas dishes. Taste their Beef Carpaccio, Tuna Tartar and Abita Shrimp served over herb-grilled grit-cakes or sip some vino and sample one of the many specialty Antipasti Boards.

Art's Market Saturday
The Baton Rouge Arts Market takes place every first Saturday of the month from 8:00AM until 12:00PM at 5th and Main Streets in Downtown Baton Rouge. Featuring artists from Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Florida who will present original works of art in a variety of mediums including, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, textiles, photographs, glass, paintings, sculpture, hand-made soaps and so much more. The Arts Market regularly features free children's art activities from 9:00AM until 12:00PM at the Arts Market's Kids Booth. The Baton Rouge Arts Market is held in conjunction with the weekly Red Stick Farmers Market and the Main Street Market.

Geaux Green at Main Street Market
Learn how to geaux green at the Markets this Saturday. New recycling bins are now located inside the entrances to Main Street Market to reduce waste and recycle plastic, glass and paper products. Learn how to plant your own winter or spring garden from the East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners who will be on hand to provide advice and tips on gardening. Information will also be available on how to make your own compost to use in home gardens. Young market shoppers will enjoy a fun green themed art activity as well as face painting provided by the Market. The Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration will feature Chef Elton Hyndman of Nino's Italian Restaurant with cooking tips and a great winter recipe beginning at 10AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. The Red Stick Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM on the corner of Fifth and Main Streets.



Free First Sunday
First Sunday is a cooperative endeavor offered by downtown museums for free admission to events on the first Sunday of each month. Visit the LASM, LSU MOA, and USS KIDD and explore all the wonderful things they have to offer for FREE!

Celebrate Valentine's Day with passion and style, as two real life couples share their love for music and each other in this evening of opera duets, quartets, and popular American love songs. The concert will feature Yvonne Douthat Hartinger, mezzo soprano, and her husband Virgil Hartinger, tenor alongside New York couple soprano Jessica Cates and baritone Michael Krzankowski.
