Spanish Town Parade
Dancing to the marching bands, hands poised for catching goodies and eclectic attire is the order of the day as the 32nd Annual Parade rolls out. Come early and bring your lawn chairs. The krewe's theme for 2012 is "It's Conival Time!" and dignitaries are King Edwin Edwards, Queen Liz Fischer, and Grand Marshal Brian Nolan. View the route...

Fishbone at Manship Theatre
Celebrating 25 groundbreaking years, Fishbone has been trailblazing their way through the history of American Ska and Rock Fusion since starting their professional career in Los Angeles' burgeoning, Alternative Rock music scene of the mid 1980s. Their sound has often been imitated, but never duplicated. They have toured worldwide with such bands as the Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Roots, Les Claypool/Primus, Fela Kuti, The Dead Kennedys and many more.

Museum after Dark: The Game of Chess

BRSO Entergy Masterworks VI
If you have yet to experience the symphony, this is one concert you don't want to miss! The BRSO invites you into the concert hall for the creative genius of Claude Debussy, Manuel de Falla, Jennifer Higdon and Maurice Ravel. The concert begins with the quintessential work of Musical Impressionism - Debussy's dream-like L'après-midi d'un faune, inspired by the work of symbolist poet Stéphane Mallarmé. This work is followed by Spanish Impressionist Manuel de Falla's charmed nocturne for piano and many more.

Main Street Market
Main Street Market will be open this Saturday, February 18th from 8AM to noon. Meet family and friends for a cup of coffee, hot breakfast or a tasty lunch before watching the Spanish Town Mardi Gras parade. Cafes will also offer snacks, drinks and sweets to enjoy during the parade. The Red Stick Farmers Market will be closed, but will return next Saturday. Loyal shoppers can visit the Thursday Farmers Market location at 7248 Perkins Rd from 8AM to noon to pick up fresh and local produce. The Red Stick Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM on the corner of Fifth and Main Streets.
