Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade delayed till 3:30 p.m. Saturday
Projected bad weather pushes back parade starting time

The East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Office, Baton Rouge Police Department and Spanish Town Parade Officials have made a decision to change the Spanish Town's Parade start time from 12:00 noon to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, due to the possibility of severe weather.

Police are asking parade spectators to wait until 2:00 p.m. Saturday before making an attempt to enter the downtown area.

The float lineup and parade participants' arrival time has also been changed to 2:00 p.m.
