Irish Music and Film to fill the O' Square!
In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, North Boulevard Town Square will be filled with classic and current Irish music for all to enjoy. The music will run from Thursday, March 15th - Sunday, March 18th. In addition, a classic Irish film - 'The Quiet Man' with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara will air on the Town Square beacon on Friday, March 16th at 2:00PM and 7:00PM and on Saturday March 17th at 7:00PM. Yoga in the Square
Karmady Yoga, a new downtown business, would like to introduce themselves to the downtown community by offering free yoga classes in the new North Boulevard Town Square! Whether you are interested in flexibility, strength, stress reduction or balance, this class will help you learn in a non-threatening way. You will experience a gentle, slow approach to postures, allowing you to experience each pose. The session will close with an emphasis placed on relaxation and allowing a restoration of the body and mind. The classes will be held on Sunday and on Tuesday before the Happy's Running Club gets going, so come out and stretch away some stress in the square!

Museum After Dark: The Sounds of Stone
Combine the multifaceted granite sculpture of Jesús Moroles with improvisational percussion by the LSU percussion group Hamiruge (Hammer-Rouge) and you get a once in a lifetime experience. The ensemble, under the direction of Brett William Dietz, Associate Professor of Percussion with the School of Music at LSU, has been at the forefront of commissioning, performing, and premiering new works for percussion. Don't miss this unique artistic collaboration.

The Little Engine That Could
Choo! Choo! Watch the little switch engine beat the odds as she bravely agrees to try and pull the heavy train cars up the mountain. Children will learn the importance of optimism, hard work and persistence as they chant, "I think I can! I think I can!" Experience and enjoy a train ride around the plaza, play with toys from Victoria's Toy Station, receive cast member autographs after the show, snack pack consisting of pop-corn and caffeine-free drink. Train ride is free with purchase of show ticket, $5 without show ticket. Train will be giving rides around the Shaw Center Plaza 1 hour before performance and 1 hour after.

Lunchtime Lagniappe
Lunchtime Lagniappe, a weekly series of lively presentations on local history will run at the Capitol Park Museum on Wednesdays through March 28. Designed for downtown workers on a break, the free hour long programs are held at noon each Wednesday. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch and may come and go as their schedules require. The Capitol Park Museum friends make refreshments available for a small donation.

Rock The Roof at the YMCA
Rock the Roof is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament being held on the 7th floor roof of the Third Street Lasalle parking garage. Literally take your game to new heights as players will experience a great view of the downtown and the river. There will be 3 divisions; middle school, high school and adult.
