Sunday in the Park, a FREE outdoor concert series in Lafayette Park featuring brunch and music under the oaks will continue Sunday, April 26th, Noon with Seth Walker.

Red Stick Animation Festival
The festival has its roots firmly planted in the creative side of the animation business and acts to provide animators, directors, students, artists, designers, writers and educators with a forum in which they can share their knowledge and skills and promote the art of animation.

The 2009 festival will be April 22-25, 2009, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Festival venues include the Shaw Center for the Arts, the Manship Theatre, the Louisiana Arts & Science Museum, and the Louisiana State Capitol.

Join us for The Baton Rouge Blues Week 2009 April 15-26. Events will be held at Repentance Park between River Center and The Old State Capital on River Rd and numerous local establishments.

The Baton Rouge Blues Festival will be held Saturday April 25 at 9:30PM in Repentance Park.

Red Stick Roller Derby
Coming off yet another win, this time in Auburn, AL against the women of Auburn Roller Derby, Baton Rouge is hosting a combined team of rollergirls from Mississippi on April 25th, 2009 at the Baton Rouge River Center.

Doors open at 6pm - Bout at 7pm
$16 VIP, $11 Advance, $13 Door

Farmers Market

Red Stick Farmer's Market
On the first Saturday of each month, the East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners are at the Red Stick Farmers Market to offer expert advice on seasonal gardening and often provide free soil sample kits. The Fresh from the Market Cooking Show happens every Saturday inside Main Street Market. This cooking demonstration showcases local chefs and food lovers from around Louisiana. Also on the first Saturday of each month, except January and May, the Baton Rouge Arts Market sets up next to the Red Stick Farmers Market.
