Sunday in the Park
Sunday in the Park returns! The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge announces a special summer 2012 installment of the Sunday in the Park Concert Series, "Summer in the Park." This week, Sunday in the Park features The Ed Perkins Experience. This is a FREE outdoor concert series held in North Boulevard Town Square in downtown Baton Rouge. Remaining concerts will be held on Sunday afternoons on June 24, and July 1.

Kids Rule the Movies at Manship Theatre
Join Manship Theatre each Wednesday in June as they present four films that became instant cartoon classics. Every movie ticket includes one bag of popcorn, choice of water or juice and a sweet snack! Kids are encouraged to wear their bathing suits to play in the fountains after the show. This week Manship Theatre is screening the film Bee Movie.This sweetly hilarious film of a bee who sues humans for stealing honey will surely keep you buzzing about it long after you have left the theatre.

ZZ Top and 3 Doors Down at the
Baton Rouge River Center
ZZ Top leads "Gang of Outlaws Tour." The iconic music of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers has placed the band in the forefront of blues-based rock for more than forty years. Their catalog of massive hits includes "Sharp Dressed Man," "Gimme All Your Lovin'," "LaGrange" and more. They are expected to preview new material from their forthcoming release over the course of the "Gang of Outlaws" Tour. Also featured on the tour is the rock band, "3 Doors Down" and country singer, Gretchen Wilson.

Manship Theatre & Zolia: Dinner and a Movie

Elevator Projects hosts ART-cade
The fantastic art group Elevator Projects will be hosting their first ever ART-cade, with hand-made games that are all interactive and Harrington's will be serving delicious eats! Live mural painting outside on Wall #1 (McGlynn, Glisson & Mouton building) by Artists Saliha Staib & Clark Derbes, and soundtrack by DJ OTTO.

Opening Reception: LSU School of Art Glassell Gallery
This is the eleventh year of the annual summer shows celebrating the fine artists in our city. The exciting art exhibition will feature works in all medias and genres united by a common starting point: interpret the idea of Dreamcatching in your own unique way. The Glassell Gallery plans to create a fun environment for this event by linking community art to a festive atmosphere. The public is invited to stop by the gallery during the reception and the duration of the exhibition. Ken Dixon and the Wounded Warriors Dance Troupe will be presenting Native American traditional dances during the reception.

White Linen Night at Tsunami
Summer Solstice arrives on the third week of June each year, officially marking the beginning of summer and the longest day from sunrise to sunset. Dress in your favorite white linen outfit and watch the sunset from Baton Rouge's best view of the city, the Tsunami rooftop. An art battle and silent auction will be shown by some of Baton Rouge's top artists (TJ Black, Jacob Zumo, Marc Fresh, & Jade Brady) as performers put on a special show in the rock garden. Hors d'oeuvres, drinks, music, art, and performers will all be on the river terrace. This event is free and open to the public.

Roux House presents Spinrad
Spinrad five piece band based out of Springfield, Mo, incorporates rock, jazz-fusion, funk, while pulling from their influences Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, Steely Dan, and Black Keys. Spinrad is made up of accomplished and experienced musicians who take their love of music seriously, and together are pursuing their highest aspirations. Spinrad delivers an exciting musical experience, both in their albums and live performances.

Tomato Me Crazy at Red Stick Farmers Market
This 15th Annual June event is held in conjunction with the summertime festivities for Fresh Fest 2012. Chef Don Bergeron will lend his culinary talents and Louisiana heritage for the Fresh from the Market cooking show at 10AM, demonstrating tomato recipes "the Creole way." Throughout the morning there will be face painting, special tomato giveaways at the coffee booth, a tomato kids art booth, and tomato stomping music from local entertainer Kevin Johnson. The always popular tomato-themed contest, "Guess How Many Tomatoes" will award a first prize winner with a Dinner for Two certificate to Ruffino's Restaurant.
