Mayor Holden announces the Hilton AAA - 4 Diamond rating along with Paul Arrigo, President & CEO of the Baton Rouge Area Convention & Visitor's Bureau, Austin Vandevate, General Manager - Hilton Hotel, John Davies, President & CEO of The Baton Rouge Area Foundation and Davis Rhorer, Executive Director of the Downtown Development District

The Hilton Capitol Center
, formerly the Heidelberg and Capitol House Hotel was recently awarded the AAA 4-Diamond rating for the 2010 travel directory. After undergoing two inspections by AAA with specific criteria focusing on physical attributes and customer service, the Hilton was bestowed this honor.

The rehabilitation of this hotel has always been important to the soul of this community. Collectively we came together to creatively find a solution to renovate this historic structure ...one of Baton Rouge's and the states iconic treasures. A complete community effort was undertaken to make this happen. With that being said, this regions historic hotel now has the honor of a 4 diamond rating - ranking downtown at the top of the list in accommodations and attractions for our city.

Achieving this rating signals the pride and effort taken by Ashby Hospitality Management and Commercial Properties.

Congratulations on this deserving award. You make us all proud.

In honor of this great achievement, we are posting on our web page the photo story we presented when the hotel was opened in August of 2006, for all to enjoy and celebrate.
