Art Melt Preview Party
Each year Forum 35 hosts an unveiling of the Art Melt exhibit for an exclusive group of invested individuals. There are a limited number of spaces reserved for outside individuals interested in getting a sneak peak at this fantastic art and mingling with this core group of Louisiana talent. Remember that spaces are limited and tickets go fast!

Art Melt
The Forum 35 Art Melt is the largest multi-media, juried art exhibit in the state of Louisiana. The Art Melt strives to promote professional artists throughout the state of Louisiana while providing an opportunity for the public to experience the best of local fine art, music, performing arts, and culinary creation. All artwork accepted to the competition will hang in the gallery and remain up and open to the public for 4 weeks following the event.

Art Meltdown Block Party
Be there for the first post Art Melt block party, listen to live music, DJ's, and watch over 8 of Baton Rouge's most talented artists compete for the highest bid in a live art battle. The artists' work is entered into a silent auction and gives the audience an opportunity to purchase amazing art at discounted prices. Art battles will go on in the courtyard at Roux House and the patio in Happy Land. Just $10 gains access to both venues.

Summer Lecture Series
The Capitol Park Museum is hosting a summer lecture series featuring Dr. Don Hernandez as he presents the history of the Holy Family Sisters and Rosary Institute and their contribution to educating children in and around Lafayette during the 20th century. Museum galleries will remain open until the program begins and guests are invited to arrive early to view the exhibits.

Legally Blonde The Musical at Manship Theatre
Center Stage proudly presents Legally Blonde The Musical. Featuring sorority star Elle Woods who doesn't take "no" for an answer. The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is the premiere association for kitchen and bath professionals. Nearly 50 years after its inception, the Association now has a membership of over 40,000 members. Melon Mania at Red Stick Farmers Market
Watermelons, cantaloupes, and Asian sun melons are a summertime favorite for backyard parties and can even be grilled to bring out their sweet flavor. Chef Jaime Hernandez of Juban's Restaurant will join host Chef Celeste Gill for the weekly Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration this Saturday. Chef Jaime will feature cool melon recipes to beat the summer heat. Musical entertainment outside at the Red Stick Farmers Market will feature local accordion player Mel Chavis. Local musicians are also invited to join the Bluegrass Jam inside Main Street Market.
