Saving Hubble
Saving Hubble is an independent documentary film that examines NASA's decision in 2004 to cancel the famed Hubble Space Telescope and introduces us to the people who united to save it. The FREE screening and party will take place at the Baton Rouge River Center Theatre for the Performing Arts. Star gazing courtesy of the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society will take place outside immediatley following the movie.

International Clown Day at North Boulevard Town Square
Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey celebrate International Clown Day in Downtown Baton Rouge! Families are invited to celebrate in Town Square dressed in their best clown face, clown costume, or silly clothing. The first 300 children 12 & under will receive a free ticket to opening night of the circus, August 2nd. Barnum Bash's preshow host Dean Kelley will be on site meeting and greeting, then later he will lead the kids in a fun party dance.

Everything Eggplant at Red Stick Farmers Market
Celebrate the Louisiana summer eggplant crop this Saturday at the Red Stick Farmers Market with Everything Eggplant. Shoppers can find traditional purple oval eggplants as well as Asian eggplant and gourmet baby eggplants. Chef Peter Sclafani of Ruffino's Restaurant will showcase the versatility of eggplant during the Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration inside Main Street Market at 10AM. Outside entertainment will include zydeco tunes by popular musician Mel Chavis.
