You Are Invited!- North Boulevard Town Square Public Open House You are invited to attend a public open house for The North Boulevard Town Square. The design team will reveal the preferred design concept.
The meeting will be held at the Old State Capitol between 5:30- 7:30 p.m. The design team will present a PowerPoint presentation then transition into an open house forum; where the team will be available to address individual feedback.

Highwater Downtown! It is a wonderful time to admire the beauty of the Mighty Mississippi from the Downtown riverfront! The Mississippi River at Baton Rouge is currently at a very high stage of about 36' and is projected to crest on May 27 at 38.5'. Entrances to the Levee are located at Riverfront Plaza across from the River Center and at Florida Street/River Road.

Got Bikes? The beautiful spring weather and the high level of the Mississippi River presents a great opportunity to take advantage of the wonderful levee Bike Path that currently extends from Skip Bertman Drive near LSU North to Florida Street (~2.5 miles). There are numerous Downtown trailheads or access points to the bike path at South Blvd/River Road, Riverfront Plaza across from the River Center, and at Florida Street/River Road.

Memorial Day Service A memorial service will be held Monday, May 25th in the Louisiana Memorial Plaza (near the USS KIDD) to honor those men and women of the Armed Forces who have lost their lives in service to our country. The service starts at 1:30 p.m. and is open to the public. A performance by the Baton Rouge Music Club Chorus will follow at 12:00 p.m. For information call 342-1942.
