CAAWS Krewe of Mutts Parade
The CAAWS Mystic Krewe of Mutts parade is a fun filled way to spend an unforgettable day with your dogs Mardi Gras style while parading them in what has become one of Baton Rouge's most beloved events. The parade is the largest fundraiser for CAAWS and raises much needed funds for the CAAWS Community Outreach Spay/Neuter Program. The parade is a walking parade where dogs and their owners stroll along North Blvd. in their finest Mardi Gras attire. Anyone can enter the parade. Register online and save $10 off the parade day prices.

Krewe of Jupiter and Juno Parade
Jupiter rolls to the streets on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. Parade begins at the corner of Government Street and St. Philip Street, and ending at the corner of Convention Street & S. River Road. Jupiter's 2013 Theme is "A Diamond Jubilee." Jupiter's Jubilee Ball will be held on at the Baton Rouge River Center. The Annual Jupiter and Juno Jam after parade party will be held at the Lyceum Dean Ballroom located at 124 Third Street. Doors open at 7 p.m., entertainment provided by Artemis.

Living Pink Benefit Concert
Living Pink benefit concert Is a Baton Rouge Magnet High School senior project. The music for the concert will be provided by Baton Rouge Music Studios and all donations will benefit breast cancer research.

Louisiana and Latin American Independence Movements
As a former Spanish colony with strong cultural and economic ties to Latin America, Louisiana played a unique role in early 19th century independence movements throughout the region. Louisianians gave refuge to revolutionary leaders like Benito Juarez and some joined directly in armed struggles against Spain. Guest speaker Robert Gray Freeland explores this fascinating chapter in hemispheric history. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
