Spanish Town Parade
The 2013 33rd Annual Spanish Town parade begins at 12PM on Saturday,and will roll out with a fleet of 100 floats and marching bands. Hands will be poised for catching goodies and eclectic attire is the order of the day. Come early and bring your lawn chairs. The krewe's theme for 2013 is "A Spanish Town Twinkie Ate My Ding Dong" and this year's dignitaries are King Robert King, Queen Whitney Vann, and Grand Marshal Gerald Woods.

Spanish Town Parade After Party Bald Eagle Pub
Come out to the Bald Eagle Pub downtown for the official Spanish Town Parade After Party! Bald Eagle Pub will be hosting the Awards Ceremony immediately following the Spanish Town Parade. Come out and see live music from One Wants and Soulhaven.

James Carter Trio
Jazz saxophonist James Carter is a powerhouse jazz musician and one of the most admired saxophonists of his generation. He returns to a favored format as the leader of his long-standing Organ Trio, performing rollicking swing numbers, moving ballads, gospel and blues. Come out and see The Organ Trio, James Carter's longest running and most cohesive band.

Creating Fun with Chemistry
Explore the dynamic world of chemistry in hands-on Kids' Lab workshops for children ages 6-12. One adult caregiver is required for every four children, and participants must sign in at least 20 minutes before the workshop.

Mardi Gras Storytime & Crafts
Children ages 4 - 8 will help celebrate Mardi Gras at the River Center Library! The library will read On Mardi Gras Day by Fatima Shaik and other fun stories about Mardi Gras. Then, children will create their own Mardi Gras masks to take home.
