Valentine's Day Downtown
Spend time downtown and experience the sounds of romance in North Boulevard Town Square. Love songs will be playing throughout the week. Also, send us a picture of your significant 'other', special or important family member or friend and we will happily display them on the beacon screens on Valentine's Day. Please send photos to ddd@brgov.com no later than Tuesday, February 12th at 5PM.

Beauregard Town Parade
The 2013 Beauregard Town Walking Parade begins at noon on Mardi Gras Day and snakes it's way through Historic Beauregard Town before ending at an unofficial, open to the public party with food and beverages. Everyone is invited to "join in" the parade! It is a human powered parade with bicycles, pedestrians, and pedal-powered "floats" welcome!

Meet at the Old Govenor's Mansion



Ride Indigo at Town Square
Bicycle enthusiasts are invited to a FREE bike ride starting at Town Square. Riders can join 5 mile, 10 mile, or 15 mile casual bike ride. There will also be a post ride street party with face painting, and zumba w/ Southern University Gold and Bluez Dancers.

The FREE Belle of Baton Rouge Concert Series continues this week with the legendary blues singer Luther Kent! Free Concert Fridays at the Belle has some of Louisiana's hottest Hall of Fame acts in the Atrium.

Mardi Gras Mambo 10K
The 2013 Amedisys Mardi Gras Mambo 10k and One Mile Fun Run is set for February 16, 2013! The event will once again be staged from the Belle of Baton Rouge Atrium in downtown Baton Rouge. 10k race registration includes entry into the Amedisys Mardi Gras Mambo 10k, a long-sleeve cotton race t-shirt, a custom Mardi Gras Mambo bead medallion for finishers, drawstring shoe bag, disposable chip timing and free post-race food and drinks.
