Coming Soon: Downtown Greenway Charrette
The Downtown Greenway will create a pedestrian and bicycle corridor that links inner city residential neighborhoods, parks, businesses, and cultural attractions utilizing the existing interstate infrastructure. Stakeholder charrettes and public meetings will be held on March 5, 6, and 7 in order to ensure a collaborative, community-driven design. Opera Louisiane: Elixir of Love
L'elisir d'amore or The Elixir of Love rounds out the 2012-2013 Season in style, Friday, March 1, 2013. The first grand opera performance in Opéra Louisiane's history will be performed at the River Center Theater with English supertitles, grand sets, stunning costumes, and full orchestra under the baton of Maestro Michael Borowitz. This production is sure to be the cultural event of 2013!

Baton Rouge Bus Boycott Remembered
In remembrance of the 60th Anniversary, the North Boulevard Town Square Beacon will air the one hour documentary, "Signpost to Freedom", that recounts the circumstances and events that led to the nation's first large-scale boycott. Recently aired on LPB, this documentary has won several awards for its excellence. Come out and enjoy the FREE public viewings of this significant documentary.

Art After Hours: Photography at the Edge
Relax with friends and experience "The Edge of Vision" guided by Kristine Thompson, LSU's assistant professor of photography. Thompson will lead visitors through the exhibition of still images, installations and video projections by leading international photographers. She will also comment upon today's usage of photographic phenomena to create intriguing works of abstract art. Enjoy complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres with admission. 2013 Louisiana Skeeter Run
Last year over 2000 people participated in the Louisiana Skeeter Run. We hope you will join us as we put our best foot forward to continue the fight to save lives. On Saturday, March 2, 2013, SWAT Teams all over Louisiana will gather for either a One Mile Run/Walk or a 5K Run/Walk to help stomp out malaria as part of the 2nd Annual Louisiana Skeeter Run!
