Audra McDonald at the River Center
The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra is bringing in one of Broadway's best for a special encore of its Great Performers in Concert series. Five-time Tony Award winner and Grammy Award winner Audra McDonald will perform alongside the orchestra in the River Center Theatre for the Performing Arts.

Revolution Dance Company will present its 6th annual performance to the Baton Rouge public. This year, "Vivere Saltere", which means "Live to Dance", will illuminate the stage, just as previous year shows have done. International AIDS Candlelight Memorial
The 29th Annual International AIDS Candlelight Memorial will take place on Sunday. This globally-recognized memorial is among the world's oldest HIV/AIDS remembrance, awareness and community action events. The Candlelight Memorial supports individuals living with HIV/AIDS by reducing negative stigma, promoting testing and prevention, and continuing the fight against this disease. For the Baton Rouge observance, HAART has planned a candlelight vigil and a memorial walk begining at North Boulevard Town Square.

Celebrate Garden Month
Spring weather is finally here and shoppers can find beautiful fresh cut flowers at the Red Stick Farmers Market including zinnias, sunflowers, snap dragons and delphiniums. As the Markets celebrate Garden Month, shoppers are invited to enter to win a $15 gift certificate from one of the Market's green nurseries, Mizell Farm and Greenhand Nursery.The Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration will feature student chefs from the Louisiana Culinary Institute. The chefs will feature fresh spring produce in delicious recipes for shoppers to sample during the 10AM cooking demonstration inside Main Street Market.
