The Capital City's premier live music event continues this Friday. This is the final show of the Spring Live After Five season. Come out and see Todd O' Neil at this week's show. Stay tuned for the Fall line-up coming soon!

"Run the Summer Fun" for St. Jude
This family friendly event is going to "RUN to SUMMER FUN" through downtown Baton Rouge. The whole family can enjoy participating in the 5K run or 1 mile fun run/walk. There will be live entertainment, food, and fun. Awards will be given for the overall top male and female finishers, as well as the fastest three males and females in each group. Don't forget to wear your best Summer costume.

Memorial Day Service at the Kidd
The USS KIDD Veterans Memorial celebrates Memorial Day in order to honor those who have paid the ultimate price to ensure our freedom. It also provides attendees an opportunity to stop and give thanks for the many who have died protecting our freedoms. Memorial Day guests are encouraged to wear red, white and blue and bring an American flag. USS KIDD ship tours will be available at the regular admission price of: $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for children ages 5-12.

Creating Fun with Chemistry at LASM
Explore the dynamic world of chemistry in hands-on Kids' Lab workshops for children ages 6-12 and a parent or caregiver. Kids' Lab is FREE for LASM members and included in the price of general admission for non-members. Participants may sign up on a first come, first served basis on the day of each program. One adult caregiver is required for every four children, and participants must sign in at least twenty minutes before the workshop.

Butterfly Extravaganza
The Market's summer long Fresh Fest kicks off this Saturday with the annual Butterfly Extravaganza! Dr. Gary Ross, noted naturalist and lepidopterist, will conduct a workshop on attracting and caring for butterflies at 10AM inside Main Street Market. The presentation will take the place of the Fresh From the Market cooking demonstration this week. Following the discussion, Dr. Ross will be outside at the Red Stick Farmers Market to answer questions on butterfly gardening and to suggest ideal plants for attracting butterflies.
