Patriots on the Beacon
The Downtown Development District is proud to honor our Patriots on the Beacon! Send us a picture of those that have generously served in the military and we will honor them on the North Boulevard Town Square Beacon. Send in a photo of them to ddd@brgov.com by Wednesday, July 3rd at Noon and we will gratefully acknowledge them on the beacon screens on the 4th of July. American patriotic music will play throughout the day.

Star Spangled Celebration
Join the USS Kidd for food, fun, and fireworks as downtown Baton Rouge celebrates Independence Day. Concession vendors open at noon followed by live music and a mock air attack on the USS Kidd. The evening will conclude with a spectacular "Fireworks on the Mississippi" show over the river.

The Baton Rouge Arts Market
Browse art from over 60 artists from Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Florida presenting original works of art in a variety of mediums including, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, textiles, photographs, glass, paintings, sculpture, hand-made soaps and so much more. The Baton Rouge Arts Market is held in conjunction with the weekly Red Stick Farmers Market and the Main Street Market.

Just Peachy at the Market
Head downtown this Saturday as the Red Stick Farmers Market and Louisiana 2 Step host Just Peachy. Part of our summer long Fresh Fest, the celebration will highlight the year's Louisiana peach harvest. Chef Celeste Gil will be joined by Jay Ducote, of Bite and Booze, during the Fresh from the Market cooking show. The pair will demonstrate classic peach recipes with a modern day twist. The cooking demonstration is from 10 to 11AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market.
