Don't miss a chance to try some of downtown's best restaurants as Baton Rouge celebrates Restaurant Week. Each restaurant will have a specially priced three course menu that will allow new customers to taste the best of what each restaurant has to offer. Reservations are encouraged. Melon Mania at the Market
Watermelons, cantaloupes, and Asian sun melons will fill farmers' tables this Saturday as the Fresh Fest summertime celebration continues with Melon Mania on Saturday. Melons are a summertime favorite for backyard parties and family activities. Chef Chris Wadsworth from Restaurant IPO will join host Chef Celeste Gill for the weekly Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration this Saturday. Wadsworth features local ingredients at IPO regularly and will provide refreshing melon recipes to beat the summer heat during the cooking show.

Art Melt Invitational
The 10th Anniversary Art Melt Invitational opens on July 12th for members! Forum 35 members are invited to attend this members' opening for a $10 admission fee if they are not Museum members. The retrospective exhibition celebrates the tenth anniversary of Art Melt and will feature works of art from the nine past "Best in Show" award winners of Art Melt as well as history on the event that has become Louisiana's largest juried art show. Enjoy the tunes of DJ Otto while celebrating the success of this wonderful Baton Rouge event!

LSU Storytelling Festival
The LSU School of Library and Information Science will hold its fourth annual Storytelling Festival at the LSU Museum of Art in the Shaw Center for the Arts. Students enrolled in the Art and Practice of Library Storytelling, will open the event by telling traditional folktales of their own choosing. Their stories will span many different cultures and ethnic groups. Following the students' presentations, attendees of the event are invited to share their own family-friendly stories.

Summer Sounds at St. James
The St. James Center for Spiritual Formation is pleased to announce the return of the popular Summer Sounds at St. James series of concerts.
