Everything Eggplant at the Market
Red Stick Farmers Market and Louisiana 2 Step celebrate everything eggplant this Saturday at the Market with activities for the whole family. Local farmers will offer the traditional dark purple oval shaped eggplant as well as different types of locally grown eggplant varieties including small Japanese styles in both white and green. Local foods enthusiast Chris Herring will feature different types of eggplant in the weekly Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration this Saturday. Chris and Chef Celeste will show the versatility of eggplant in summer dishes during the 10AM cooking demonstration inside Main Street Market.
