Farm to Table Tops
This is your last chance to bid on a custom hand-painted Main Street Market table! They add color to your kitchen, kid's playroom or covered patio. Each table was designed and painted by a local youth artist and reflects Louisiana's vibrant food and culture. You can also take a chance to win the Lagniappe Table for just $10. All proceeds benefit BREADA, the non-profit parent organization of Red Stick Farmers and Main Street Market, which works to grow your Market and build a strong and healthy local food system.

Perseid Meteor Shower: A Live Presentation
Join LASM on August 11th for a live presentation in the Pennington Planetarium that explores the year's major meteor shower, the Perseid Meteor Shower. A tour of the visible night sky, identifying constellations, and visible planets, is also included. Museum general admission rates apply.

The Spirit of '45 Celebration
The Spirit of '45 Celebration will be held from 3 - 5PM in the museum theatre. Attendees are welcome to enter the USS KIDD Veterans Memorial FREE of charge and proceed to the museum theatre for a ceremony and USO style musical performance. City of Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden will be the keynote speaker.

Baton Rouge Ballet Season Tickets

National Farmers Market Week
Celebrate National Farmers Market Week at the Markets Saturday with the unveiling of the new Main Street Market Table Tops. A jazz parade through the Red Stick Farmers Market will begin at 9AM led by Mayor-President Kip Holden and the John Gray Jazz Trio. Following the parade, you are invited to gather in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market to view the new tables and meet the 2013 youth artists who painted the custom table tops reflecting Louisiana's rich local food system and culinary heritage.

This Saturday, August 10th, from 7 to 9PM, Bike Baton Rouge and Tin Roof Brewery will host the second round of the Goldsprints* Series at Mud & Water. The event will be followed by live music from Belle Adair and Minos the Saint. Don't miss it! FREE goldsprints (+ free Velo Louisiane T-Shirt if you ride, a Trek mountain bike raffle, prizes, and bike-related merchandise are all offered this Saturday.
