Live After Five with Rockin' Doopsie
Live After Five in Downtown Baton Rouge is the capital city's premier FREE live music event, hosted by the Downtown Business Association. The Fall season of Live After Five continues this Friday in Town Square with Rockin' Dopsie.

BR Hip Hop Festival
BR HOPS brings the annual BR Hip Hop Festival back to downtown. The festival will take place from September 12th-15th at the Manship Theatre. Events will include concerts, dance classes, and movie screenings. Visit the Manship's website for a complete list of event times.

Red Stick Farmers Market
Look for late summer produce including melons, squash, peppers, cucumbers and greens this Saturday at the Red Stick Farmers Market. Join Chef Nathan Gresham of Beausoleil Restaurant this Saturday for the Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration at 10AM inside Main Street Market. Chef Gresham will highlight late summer produce in seasonal recipes and shoppers are invited to sample his dish and ask questions.

William Greiner Opening Reception

Secretary of State Tom Schedler and The Old State Capitol are hosting a reception with New York Times columnist and author Samuel G. Freedman.
