In the 70s, Bob Dylan sought him out at the Mariposa Folk Festival, claiming that if he were to ever start a label he would want Redbone to be the first artist he recorded. This legendary rock/folk artist will be playing at the Manship Theatre!

Red Stick Farmers Market
Find a variety of fall pumpkins and produce at the Red Stick Farmers Market this Saturday. Chef Don Bergeron will demonstrate recipes using fall produce inside Main Street Market during the Fresh from the Market cooking segment. Stop inside the North Street entrance to Main Street Market at 10 am to watch the chef and sample his dish.

Walter Anderson's Horn Island: Through the Eyes of C.C. Lockwood
The LSU Museum of Art will host a talk featuring C.C. Lockwood while the Walter Inglis Anderson exhibit "Everything I See Is New and Strange," is on display. During the talk, Lockwood will discuss how Anderson inspired his work through the artist's connection to nature, his desire to totally immerse himself in the elements and the time he spent in the wilderness of Horn Island. Lockwood will also read from his book, "Gulf Coast: Where Land Meets Sea," present select photographs and will be available for book signing.

Opera Louisiane presents The Ring
Opéra Louisiane presents a condensed version of Wagner's epic drama, complete with winged helmets, a powerful ring, murder, lust and greed. You may wonder if you're watching Lord of the Rings or another episode of Game of Thrones! This performance will be sung in German with English supertitles.
