Live After Five with Gina Brown
Live After Five in Downtown Baton Rouge is the capital city's premier FREE live music event, hosted by the Downtown Business Association. This weeks musical guest is R&B artist Gina Brown.

Capital Area United Way Jambalaya Jam
Cooking teams from area businesses will surround the sidewalks at the North Boulevard Town Square in Downtown Baton Rouge and compete in a jambalaya cook-off. There will also be great live music, cold drinks, and much more. All you can eat plates are only $10 with all proceeds going to the United Way programs.

Lunchtime Lagniappe: The 1779 Battle of Baton Rouge
John Hickey will present the Battle of Baton Rouge, discussing how the Spanish captured the town from the British. John Hickey retired from the U.S. Army Reserve in 1995 as lieutenant colonel and is an active member of the Canary Islanders Heritage Society of Louisiana. All programs begin at 12PM and are FREE and open to public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunches and may come and go as their schedules require.

Red Stick Farmers Market
Find plenty of fall produce this Saturday at the Red Stick Farmers Market including pumpkins, corn, squash, sweet potatoes, and greens! Inside Main Street Market, students from the Louisiana Culinary Institute will demonstrate recipes during the Fresh from the Market show at 10AM. Enjoy a hot breakfast from one of the Market's cafes and watch the demo. The Arts Market also returns this Saturday for a special appearance
