2014 Christmas Parade
The 63rd Annual Cortana Kiwanis Downtown Christmas Parade will roll through Downtown Baton Rouge on Saturday, December 14th at 5:30 p.m. Every year, more than 70,000 people watch the parade live and thousands more enjoy it on television through the holiday season.The parade is open to everyone. Typically the parade includes about 80 entries. These entries are a mix of marching bands, celebrities, dance troups, non-profit organizations, and local businesses in seasonal themes.

Santa Fun Run
Come out for this truly Fun Run! See what hundreds of Santas running through downtown Baton Rouge looks like! Race registration includes full Santa costume! Jacket, pants, belt, hat, and beard! There will be a DJ spinning your favorite Christmas tunes, and food, and beverages all make this an event you won't want to miss!

Chat with Santa who just may have a gift for you and enjoy live jazz performances with a grand finale featuring the Woodlawn High School, McKinley High School and Baton Rouge Magnet High School.

CRPC Travel Survey
The Capital Region Planning Commission is actively seeking to find ways to curb travel demand throughout East Baton Rouge as well as the surrounding parishes. Holiday Arts Market
The Baton Rouge arts market will be held on the first three Saturdays in December: Continuing on December 14 & 21. Come downtown to the Baton Rouge Arts Market and shop for unique handmade art. The Baton Rouge Arts Market typically takes place the first Saturday each month from 8:00AM - Noon at 5th and Main Streets in Downtown Baton Rouge!

Papa Noel Visits the Market
Holiday shopping starts at the Markets this Saturday with fresh produce and artisan gifts from local vendors. The Junior League of Baton Rouge will showcase recipes from the River Road cookbook during the 10AM Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration this Saturday inside Main Street Market. Papa Noel will also make a visit to young market goers at the Red Stick Farmers Market during the morning. Enjoy a hot meal and great local holiday shopping this Saturday.
