USS KIDD Star Spangled Celebration!
Join us for food, fun, and fireworks at the USS KIDD celebrate Independence Day. The day starts off with food and drink booths opening at 12:00 noon, followed by live music, a mock air attack on the KIDD, and much more! Then wrap up the night with a spectacular fireworks display over the Mississippi River presented by WBRZ-TV Channel 2, The Advocate, and sponsored by our local Lincoln Mercury Dealers. Come down to the Markets for a "Star Spangled Saturday!"
Stop by the coffee booth for watermelon lemonade while the kids enjoy face painting designs by Liz Lopes. The Fresh from the Market cooking demo will feature gazpacho, tomato jam and watermelon salad prepared by local Chef Jaime Hernandez. Both Red Stick Farmers Market and Main Street Market will operate from 8-12.

The Baton Rouge Arts Market keeps growing!
Four artists were recently juried into the Arts Market and will be making their debut to morning shoppers Saturday the 4th of July.

Artists new to the Market are:
- Barbara Clark of Baton Rouge (Handmade wool pillows with original designs)
- Skip Goldstein of Prairieville (Kiln-fired glass)
- Ann Mulkern of Baton Rouge (Hand-knit/felted handbags and accessories)

The LSU Museum of Art paints the Baton Rouge skyline with a celebration of fireworks, food & libations at the Fifth Annual 4th of July Fundraiser. Begin your celebration with Rouge, White and Blue margaritas and delicious Bar-B-Q by Restaurant Sponsor Texas Roadhouse in the Bert and Sue Turner Gallery on the 3rd Floor. An Event Procedures and Guidelines manual is now available for anyone looking to facilitate an event or open a business Downtown! The manual is a compilation of existing City/Parish policies for special events, parades, etc. created to act as a guide through the permitting processes and procedures. The manual is available at the DDD office and at where it can be browsed by sections.
