Join the River Center Branch Library to plant your own tin can herb garden. You will learn about different types of herbs and spices and discuss how to incorporate them into delicious dishes. Corn & Squash-Tastic at the Market
Celebrate sweet corn and summer squash varieties during Fresh Fest at the Red Stick Farmers Market this Saturday. It's "Sprouts Saturday" so kids will can enjoy kid-friendly recipes during the 10AM Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration with chef Celeste and Dr. Patrice Tyson from Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital. Kids can also participate in a fun salsa-making activity outside at the Sprouts booth at the Farmers Market. Enjoy tunes from local guitarist Kevin Johnson throughout the morning while you shop for fresh and local produce.

Escape from Baton Rouge 5k
Escape From Run is a post-apocolyptic 5K run that makes you leave the familiar behind as you witness things you never thought you'd see in your city. The 5K run is followed by an after party in North Boulevard Town Square.

Red Stick Tumble Down at LASM
Watch as thousands of coffee stir sticks come tumbling down! The Red Stick Piece installation was built piece-by-piece by Jonathan Brilliant under the watchful eyes of museum visitors. Following the demolition, the sticks will be donated to an area school for use as art supplies.
