Lunchtime Lagniappe at State Museum
This month's Lunchtime Lagniappe features author and historian Richard H. Holloway. Following the Confederate defeat at the Battle of Baton Rouge Aug. 5, 1862, Federal troops occupied the capitol city. Sharing some of his original Civil War photographs and letters from Union soldiers, Holloway examines how the northern troops viewed the city and its inhabitants. All programs begin at noon and are free and open to public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunches and may come and go as their schedules require.
