Zombie Night Downtown!
Downtown will be moaning and groaning Friday night with 3 Zombie inspired events! The Capital Region Planning Commission (CRPC) is teaming up with local non-profit dance company, Of Moving Colors, for its fifth annual Zombie Bash on Friday, October 3rd with a bicycle ride for all ages to promote safety at night. Bicyclists are encouraged to join the fun by wearing costumes, lighting their bikes and joining the after party which includes a moonlight performance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" dance. Of Moving Colors provides free lessons to learn the dance in advance. Lastly, 10/31 Consortium will be hosting a Zombie Pub Crawl starting at the Bald Eagle Pub after the Zombie Bash! Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place best zombie make up. Register Now!

The Arts Council's Jazz Listening Room series continues this week at the Hartley Vey Studio Theatre. Intelligent music for the masses by The Bad Plus, one of the most audacious and imaginative musical collectives of this or any other era.

LASM's 29th Annual LASM Gala: Party at the Pyramid will be held at the museum on Friday, October 3, 2014, and you won't want to miss it! Benefiting educational programs, guests will enjoy a grand evening featuring a delicious buffet and tempting auction items, music by Ned Fasullo & The Fabulous Big Band Orchestra, and celebrating the 50th anniversary of LASM's 2,300 year old mummy and the Ancient Egypt Gallery. Sunday in the Park with Curley Taylor
The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and 225 Magazine announce the return of the Sunday in the Park concert series for Fall 2014. Sunday in the Park is a series of FREE outdoor concerts held on North Boulevard's Town Lawn Stage in downtown Baton Rouge. Six concerts will be held on Sunday afternoons in October and November from 2PM to 5PM (Saints Football game will be shown on the Town Square Beacon.)

Shop with over 60 artists from Louisiana and Mississippi who will present original works of art in a variety of mediums including, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, textiles, photographs, glass, paintings, sculpture, hand-made soaps and so much more.
